Senior Pastor Steve Shuster

Steve Shuster was born in Camden and grew up in Audubon, NJ. In his early twenties, Steve began attending the Audubon United Methodist Church. It was there under the leadership of Rev. Will Hoffman, that Steve gave his heart to Christ. Experiencing a call to ministry shortly thereafter, received his training for the ministry at Princeton Seminary, Drew Theological School, and Oxford University.

Steve’s ministerial record includes serving churches in Pine Hill, Hammonton, Audubon and Millville. He has served the conference in a variety of ways including The Educational Society, The Board of Ordained Ministry, the District Committee on Superintendency, and other agencies. In the summer of 2011, Steve developed cardiac issues that required a rest from pastoral duties. Since that time he has been feeling much better and has been cleared by his doctor to resume responsibilities at the church.

Steve is married to Christine. A former nurse in the neonatal intensive care unit at Virtua in Voorhees, Chris also earned a bachelors in social work degree. She was able to blend her education and work experience by working in the pre-natal clinic in Voorhees until she became ill. In 1995 Christine began to experience unusual symptoms of fatigue and muscle failure. A year later she was diagnosed with multiple sclerosis. She enjoys being involved in church activities when her health permits.

Steve and Christine enjoy spending time with their family, including their son Josh and his wife Bethany, their daughter Amanda and her husband Mike, and their daughter Victoria.
