Chad Blatherwick

Chad Blatherwick grew up just a few short miles from Sicklerville United Methodist Church in Blue Anchor, NJ. He attended Grace Union United Methodist Church growing up, where he was active in youth group. Upon graduation from Edgewood Regional High School, Chad attended Rowan College where he met his wife Melissa.  They have been married for sixteen years and have four beautiful children: Chase, Sarah, Jacob, and Annika.  Chad and Melissa currently reside in Clementon, NJ.

God led the Blatherwicks to start attending SUMC about ten years ago.  During that time Chad served in many different ways including VBX Director, WOW Leader, Small Group Leader, and Lay Leader. These opportunities to serve helped to train and equip him for his current position, and for that he is very grateful.

Chad felt God calling him to go back to school, so in the fall of 2011 he enrolled at The Moody Bible Institute. He graduated May 2015 with a Bachelor of Science in Biblical Studies. After eighteen years of working at DuBell Lumber Company, Chad was excited to see where God would lead him to serve in full-time ministry. He never imagined that God would open the door for him to serve in his own home church. Chad is currently attending Palmer Theological Seminary where he is working towards his Master of Divinity.

When Chad is not at school, he enjoys spending time with his family and friends, meeting new people, cheering for his beloved Philadelphia Eagles, and most importantly sharing the love of Christ.
